What are Secret 1 and Secret 2?

At the heart of Coinplus's security are the Secret 1 and Secret 2 which are concealed beneath a tamper-proof holographic scratch-off sticker. You can find them on the back side of your Coinplus card or on the front of your Coinplus bar.

Each crypto wallet has a private key - a secret, alphanumeric code used to control and access your cryptocurrency assets. It's like a digital password that allows you to manage and secure your digital funds.

Under the Secret 1 and Secret 2 labels, you'll discover your private key. What sets Coinplus apart is the way this private key is generated and protected. Each piece of the private key is created and engraved by two independent entities, adding an extra layer of security to your crypto holdings. This dual-entity generation ensures that even the creators of the wallet do not possess the full private key.

PS: It's of utmost importance not to share your Secret 1 and Secret 2 with anyone. The individual who gains access to these secrets essentially gains control over the cryptocurrencies stored in your wallet.

When do I need Secret 1 and Secret 2?

For a higher level of security, it's recommended to not remove the security labels unless you need to send crypto from your wallet.

You need your Secret 1 and Secret 2 only in case, you want to crypto from your wallet. For any other actions like buying or receiving crypto, you don't need your Secret 1 and Secret 2.
